Buy-Hold-Sell List

The Buy-Hold-Sell List filters our very large Investable Universe.

We look for cheap Dividend Stocks based on three valuation methods:

  1. The PEG Ratio
  2. Current Yield vs Historical
  3. Reverse Dividend Discount Model

Based on this, we give each company a Buy, Hold, or Sell recommendation.

Update August 2025

Some Interesting Stats:

  • 193 companies total receive a ‘buy’ rating

    • That’s down from 208 last month

  • 24 moved from 'hold’ to ‘buy’

  • 17 have moved up from ‘sell’ to ‘hold’

  • Only 1 made the jump from ‘sell’ directly to ‘buy’ - Northland Power

    • 6 companies did so last month.

Recommendation Changes

38 companies went from Buy to Hold due to increasing stock prices.

Here’s a sample of a few:

  • Bio-Rad Laboratories (BIO) develops and sells instruments, software, and consumables used in life science research and clinical diagnostics.
  • Bank of Montreal (BMO) is one of Canada’s largest banks, offering personal and commercial banking, wealth management, and capital markets services.
  • American Tower (AMT) owns and operates wireless and broadcast communication towers, leasing space to mobile carriers and other tenants.
  • Kroger (KR) runs one of the largest supermarket chains in the U.S., selling groceries, pharmacy products, and household goods through physical stores and online platforms.
  • Wabtec (WAB) designs and manufactures equipment, systems, and services for the global freight and passenger rail industries.
